Excavations began on the farm in the 1930s and have been followed by explorations nearly every decade since then. A major Dig was carried out in 1991 by Alexy Simmons to reveal more of the Hotel site and nearby buildings.
The excavated sites are linked by a meandering pathway and fill a 12-acre park-like setting. Each site is explained fully by way of interpretive panels. Allow 30 to 40 minutes to view the excavations.
